Born in 1970 in Bourg-en-Bresse, David D\u00e9camp spent part of his childhood in the Jura region.<\/p>\n

A self-taught artist, trained as a logger and tree surgeon, it was following a work accident in 1993 that he dedicated himself to sculpture and drawing.
\nFrom the 2000s, his approach evolved, his subjects became conceptualized, and the forms and materials changed. Bone, lead, wood, and sometimes natural mummification are integrated into his work as if he sought to exorcise an often autobiographical and inhospitable journey by infusing it with dark humor:
